Dennis with fellow 22 RSU men working on Kittyhawk

At the Luncheon for Anzac day 2010 we met with Dennis O Leary and his son Peter OLeary . Dennis who was with 22RSU and several other squadrons
is passionate that Australians know the real story of the Battle for Australia. The book was funded by Wagga National Servicemens Association with a view of distributing the first 1000 of them to Riverina High Schools libraries - free of charge.  (Because of the cost of printing - it was edited to approximately half the initial content written).
Since then, many people have asked for copies of the book.

The WWNSA agreed to fund reprints so that people could get a copy, but decided that they would charge the princely sum of $7 per book to help offset the costs of print and post.
At the moment nearly 4000 books have been distributed / sold and is available at Australian War Memorial, Temora Aviation, various RSL clubs, etc.
The book can be ordered through Email : Battle for Australia

Unit 1 / 85 Vincent Rd Wagga Wagga NSW 2650.

Dennis is in the middle of writing the sequel to the book which is dealing with the

"The Kittyhawk Squadrons"

and covers more specificly the Kittyhawks exploits including 78 squadron .

Please support Dennis with "Battle for Australia" its well constructed and great to teach children who are often confused about the timeline of

the Australians and what actually took place right on our front door.
